Team-Building Retreats
Why is the effect of team-building efforts
often short-lived?
"Long lasting change
only occurs if there is buy-in from team members, and plans are
set in motion to install the desired behavioral changes into the team
dynamic."
~ Dr. Barbara Frank, educator, trainer and systems
process expert.
Dr. Frank, fondly know
as "Doc" by her colleagues
and clients, has designed a unique and
innovative
3-stage team-building approach to move your team quickly to
increased productivity.
Understanding + Experience + Action
results in long-lasting improvement
in team performance
Understanding
Interviews, questionnaires, assessments, such as FIRO-B™ or
Myers-Briggs,™ reveal the main issues interfering with your team's
performance.
Experience
Using results from interviews, questionnaires and assessments, the team
engages in experiential activities designed so that participants can
experience new forms of behavior.
Action
Team members design action plans to incorporate
what they have learned
by experiencing the
benefits of changed behavior.

As a certified
Myers Briggs™ profiler/trainer, Dr. Frank has developed
Myers Briggs retreats to help participants to understand
their Myers-Briggs type indicator (MBTI™) and the MBTI™ of
others in the team. MBTI™ indicators are based on 4
preferences: how one prefers to direct one’s energy; process
information; make decisions and organize one’s life.
Myers-Briggs profiling gives one insight into one’s own
natural inclination or preference for certain ways of
thinking and behaving.
Also certified to use FIRO-B™
instrument, Dr. Frank has found it very useful in
team-building retreats.
The theory behind the FIRO-B™ instrument is based on the
assumption that human interaction may be divided into three
categories:
- issues surrounding inclusion
- issues surrounding
control
- issues surrounding affection.
